Session on the occasion of October, the month of respect for the elderly 2019

On the occasion of October, the month of respect for the elderly, on October 10, 2019, as every year at this time, we invited our seniors to the cultural center. We had the opportunity again, more than ever, to show them our attention and respect. In the ceremonial speech, the mayor of the village, Mgr. Filip Lukáč, greeted everyone present, thanked them for raising children and grandchildren, and for working for the benefit of our village. On behalf of the younger generation, for all those who, in the rush of their daily worries and responsibilities, do not have time to stop time and say to their elderly parents and grandparents what they definitely feel in their soul and heart, we together wished the seniors on this day to be many years of health, to enjoy life in peace in the circle of their loved ones, so that the autumn of their lives will be beautiful, peaceful and sunny. Members of the folk group Bukovinka from the nearby village of Radobica also contributed to the good mood with their cultural performance. Even in our local basic organization, the Union of Pensioners of Slovakia, we still have active members who regularly take part in the autumn is a gift parade for seniors in Zemianske Kostoľany with their cultural group. They also present our village in their category in this form, for which we owe them our thanks. After the cultural performance, all participants were refreshed with tasty pastries and tea. We believe that all those present will have nice memories of this meeting. Let's not forget, respect for older people should be a natural part of our lives, it should be spontaneous and non-violent. Older people deserve it. We owe them our lives!
