10th Slovak Championship in 60 m hurdles

Successful representation of the Bystrica team at the Slovak Championships

The 10th annual Slovak 60-meter hurdles championship for young firefighters took place in Opatovce nad Nitrou on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The event brought together young firefighters from different parts of Slovakia, including representatives from the Prievidza district.
The municipality of Bystričany was represented by three young racers who competed in their age categories. In competition with racers from all over Slovakia, they achieved the following results:

Michal Ďuriš – 3rd place in the category older boys 16, time 12.25 s
Dominika Vidová – 6th place in the category older girls 16, time 12.68 s
Simona Bartová – 13th place in the category older girls 14, time 19.30 s

The greatest success was achieved by Michal Ďuriš, who took 3rd place in his category and won a bronze medal at the Slovak Championships.
